Noticed not too many people think highly of Banks systems. Does anyone have any experience with them - good or bad. I have been thinking about trying a Powerpack but would like a little more input from someone other than the sales rep @ Banks.

Thanks!

I have had my Banks PowerPack since December and I love it. A lot of members don't like it because of price. I have heard it said that you can get the same for less by piece-meal but I question that. I can tell you that after the install, it won't be long before you give Bill K. a call. It is just too much power for the stock converter.

I love mine. No problems though I agree with the converter and VB upgrades. I also have the 275 injectors.

I would like to know the same thing, so far, the only thing i have heard mentioned is that the price seems high. I'm not afraid of the price if the kit does what it is supposed to do. I was reading another thread, and they were talking about building too much heat rather quickly with the power pack. I noticed both guys had added injectors to the powerpack. Anybody with just the power pack have problems getting warm quickly. phil

I bought Banks system last April. Had 11,000 miles on the truck,1100 miles later my injection pump went out. DC blamed Banks and Banks blamed DC. I ended up paying for the pump, the towing and lost my powertrain warranty. Banks customer service is bad, I will not buy their product again.

It's my belief that you can get a he## of a lot more bang for the buck from TST or BD than Banks. You also get great follow on help and information from Piers(BD) and Mark(TST) and they are always there when you don't know what to do next.

I heard banks wanted hvac as their poster boy, he musta declined, because hvac makes insane power, not just a little more power

Had the BAnks Power Pack installed last October by Banks in Azuza CA. have nothing but high praise for both the unit and the service. Awsome power. Pedal to the metal at 70+mph and you jump. #ad
Recommend you call Bill K. With all that new found power the transmission is the weak link. It is pricey but it works and is dependable as far as I'm concerned.

Ditto here...

I just added DD1's and love it all the more

When folks say you get more bang for your buck elsewhere it seems they fail to realize the extras that Banks includes with their kits, like gauges and a K&N filter. Someone here once did a cost comparison and Banks was cheaper, it just seems like more because you get the whole bomb at once. My pyro started reading 100° low after five years, Banks sent me a new one, no question, can't beat that for warranty. I've bought two Banks kits and wouldn't hesitate to buy another on a new rig.
