The new ones sure are nice. Quiet, comfortable, tight front end, the quad cabs look good, not too big on the mega. Plus with the stupid short bed, my 5th wheel is out, so i dont know about the mega. But yeah, the new trucks in general are nice. The dual zone climate control stops alot of bickering with the wife, and the built in sirius radio is nice. To me they just took the trucks to the next level. The g56 shifts smoother than the nv5600. They just seemed to refine a lot of things that were rough on the second gens. If you decide to sell the 2001 shoot me a pm, i have a buddy looking for one.
They are nice, but expensive!! I actually was in the process of buying a 3rd Gen when I ran across mine at the dealer. Easy choice for me, the 3rd Gen LB wouldn't fit in my garage, and I won't own a short box! But I figure with all the mods I spent what a new one costs, but I can out-pull those pretty easy
