Robin,

You have a real nice Jeep there! I have owned several jeeps, scouts, 4x4pickups over the years. My brother has a built 78 FJ40 that we have taken to Moab, etc. he lives in CO. It is hard to get your money out of a custom vehicle, but if you are not in a hurry someone may come along and take it off your hands. The price sounds fair considering all the goodies, you can always go down if you get in a pinch to sell it. I would put it on Auto Trader and any other internet sites for vehicle sales.

Might try to sell it on the www. pirate4x4.com board.

No matter how nice a rig is, you'll be hard pressed to get your

money out of it. I've seen rigs (doesn't matter what brand) where the owner spent 30K on a build up and they end up selling it for 15-20K.

Also, the economy being down certainly does not help. I've already got over 30K on my FJ40 Land Cruiser and I know if I ever sell it, I'm never going to get my money out of it.

Mtngoat,

I don't think that is a very realistic figure. I don't mean any of my comments in disrespect but as constructive critisism. I have bought and sold and built many custom Jeeps. That is one of the things I do for a living. The draw backs to your Jeep for that kind of money is the lack of an atlas, dana 60s or better, mastercraft or sparco seats, custom non bolt on suspension lift, lblah, blah, blah. I think your Jeep if in perfect condition should be worth around 15 grand. And believe me, I know what kind of money one can spend on one. :(
