Al;right i fried the clutch last night. My son has been after me to come and race him at the local track(he has a stock 92). Well we line up and i beat him by a second with my clutch slipping a little when i went to third. In the pits i told him i was going to turn the box up and we would go again. He said go home old man :-laf :-laf :-laf . Well anyway i ran again but when the boost came on in third gear the clutch went away badly( i could smell it inside the truck at speed). Now my question is what clutch do i need for light towing and playing? Of course money is always an issue. Randy P. S. and if any vendor wants to send me one to try out i would be happy to. :D

I have the luke ceramatallic and it has been indestructible with 400ponies pushed through it hard and often. It is a little grabby but not bad unless pulling extreme loads. Centerforce didnt hold up and pedal pressure was way to stiff to hold at lights. I think it was $500 from luke.

Luke makes the stock clutch for dodge truck. I have the cerametallic 13" upgrade & tow daily 15k - 17k for the last 2 years. You need to get the 13" upgrade if you plan on any more mods. They are strong & smooth. I have a sled pull on mine & no issues, but if you are gonna sled pull... . Go dual disc.

I have a cerametallic clutch in my GTX and really don't like it, it is really hard to ease away at stoplights because the hotter it gets the grabbier it is. Does anyone have any experience with the Zoom ZVT?Randy

My clutch is a little grabby, but you get use to it. Now I pull out like it is stock..... Grabby is good when you are trying to put 1000ftlbs to the pavement. I haven't heard of anyone using the zoom clutch, but I read the article in magazines. I thought it was only good for like 700ftlbs @ 2200 or something like that? I may be wrong.

My 6spd came with the 13" so I didn't need the upgrade. It does get grabbier as it heas up, but my 15 yr old daughter had it figured out in 10 minutes. She hasn't driven any other sticks yet as she is just learning to drive but said it was easy.

I am using one and have been for over 28,000 miles and it hooks as good now as it did new. I can assure you I am over the 700 lbs mark . I think it is saying (Gary will correct me if I am wrong) that the weights allow it to handle 700 lb feet more. I was to dyno mine put could not make it down. I am planning sometime in january to do so.

do some research on this site about the trouble people have had with Luk and the lack of trouble with South Bend

Read my sig for truck details. My South Bend Feramic coughed it up the other night after 20000 miles. Feramics are not bad. Grabby, but they will hold, until they don't(mine slipped a total of 4 times, 3 times with boxes and meth all the way up showing 50psi and the last time with the boxes and meth off). I got my Southbend 3850 Dual disk today. It is a one sexy mofo. Supposed to hold 750 hp. We shall see... .

I have run Centerforce in my Jeeps and offroad toys for a dozen years. I abuse them mercilessly behind gas motors. I can't say a bad word about them. When it comes to diesels its South Bend. Period.
