Off Roading Max tire size for 3rd gen frt end

Well guys... you are starting to make me want to save some vacation for Muncie (indy as it's turning out) and now TX for this race. It sounds like a great time, with a great bunch of guys. 9's, Gotta love it! Congrats to the Garmon Crew!

Nowel would be proud!

How did the Red Rocket do? I realize Hoss is probably in Transit, if people want to wait and let him tell us... . It would be an honor to wait.

Maybe someday if I win the Lottery... . someone from the upper midwest will be able to show some serious Diesel power. Till then, keep up the good work guys!

Josh

HE WON!! Seems as though all the fast trucks were having problems. Garmon was almost not allowed to run, Comp461 had different problems all day long(after a VERY impressive launch his first time), Lott had NOS problems, Joe Hellman had troubles with his "old, stock" motor, and even Hoss had some problems with oil leaking out the front.

There was some very minor carnage, but nothing that bad.

David's right. The secrets are the first thing we talk about. That's good David. After 9 hours sleep, I feel a lot better. That damn road in Mississippi and La. is a washboard from hell. If I didn't have air ride I would have a broken neck.

And as to the turbo's , that's no secret. It's just the turbo's other folks say won't work. We just gotta learn. I didn't realize how stubburn we were. To tell the truth, the biggest problem is getting the transmission to shift correctly. Darrin is making gobs of power, its just getting it to the track surface.

And like everybody else said, thanks David for a great time and hospitality and friendliness shown by everybody. And the food, WOW. But the one thing that supprised me the most, Ford and Dodges in one parking lot. Is that supposed to happen? Some folks didn't think so. I had a great time and we'll do that again. .

We had NOS problem too. Some knucklehead forget to fill the bottle. ;)

Still ran 11. 94 @114 without it though. And drove the truck home afterwards.

Good Job MDW.

There was even a Duramax or two there. I don't think anyone was going to give Nate any greif about it though. At 6'3" and 316#. He was safe. :D

I have to tell ya I had a great time :D

That Hoss is a great guy and a very good racer, he beat me this year but "I want a rematch" :) That was THE most fun race I have ever had.

Joe Hellman has put so much effort into his truck he has my respect and envy.

David Lott has also done a great job on "Snow White" I wish them the best for that truck.

I know I'm missing some people as I met so many great folks and saw many great trucks.

I want to thank all that came from so far, Hoss, Merrick, Garmon, Etc... . Wish I could remember them all.

We ran better than I expected without the NOS as I didn't get the bottle filled (knucklehead). I didn't think the truck was raceable as we were having trans troubles for the last few weeks but DTT comes thruogh again, even with it being wounded it still held up, thanks Bill and crew at DTT.

As far as why it ran so much better Piers will have to tell you that :) Thanks Buddy.

The only thing I would like to see different is we need a drivers meeting to inform all parties as to whats going to happen and when. If I had known about the heads up class I would have been in it. I would have lost but I would have tried :-laf

I had a great time.

Was great watchin' all the guys doin' burnouts. That one guy with the ~'95 Ford put a serious hurtin' on his truck at Diesel Innovations, and at the track, (almost made me jealous, LOL)

The Non Texas Red Rocket was impressive. Spooled well, and ran strong.

The Texas Red Rocket did equally as well. Ran mighty impressive for a full-on work truck, LOL.

I didn't think my truck ran too bad either, 'xcept I didn't take a stroll down the track.

I see a few referances to this, and I don't get it. Do yall really not have that many different brands show up at events?

Really, we don't. When we have a shop day, all Dodges except Brandon's Max and a Ford or two. I guess the thing is none of the trucks are tuned the same. I can't talk to a Ford fellow about my Cummins. I can't evern talk to a 24V owner. I drive a 12V. What's a box? He's in a fog. The same for me and his truck. But then it seems to be driver personality. Not much to talk about but diesel fuel. At least that's the way it seems. But then I'm an old man with not much ego.

Red Rocket takes Texas!!!!!!!

Well we left the track about 7:00pm on Sunday and got to the here to Arlington Washington about 5:00pm on Tuesday :D it was a 5700 mile round trip. I need an oil change and a tire rotation now (the tires are only 12 days old :-laf )

I want to thank David Lott and all the people at Diesel Innovations for all there hard work and the great way they treated us. That BBQ was great :D

Curtis Harris I owe you big time for putting me and the boys up and showing us around. Thank you!!!!!!

It was great to meet a lot of guys I had only talked to before this, David Dunbar, Joe Hellman, Don Morrison, Greg houg, Jeff Garmon, Preston, Andrew, I could make a list two pages long!! There was a ton of great people there it was a pleasure to meet you all.

The highlight of the whole thing was when David Lott and his wife gave me a plaque for recognition of "Keeping Nowel's dream alive" :D I really appreciate that you all know I am doing my best to do right by Nowel's memory.

Winning the Pro Street All Diesel Shootout was pretty cool too!!!! :-laf

The 5700 mile round trip got a little interesting at times but I have to say if I did not get to race at all the trip would have still been worth it. We had a great time and I hope Nowel liked the show!!!!!!!!!!! We will be back!!!!

Thanks guy we had a great time!!!!! :D
