Toggle for Cargo Light?

How do you get at the switch? What and how do I remove to get at it? THANKS

1. Two screws that hold on the cup holder assembly

2. Two screws that hold in the ash tray

3. Pull the Instrument panel bazel off (snap fit)

4. Four screws holding the headlamp unit to the dash (instrument bazel must be removed first to see/access these four screws.

5. Pull headlamp unit outward.



You'll see 8 wires on one half (Primary side), 2 wires on the other (Secondary side).



Switch places with the Pink with Blue stripe (Primary side) and the Yellow (Secondary side).

GGates,on yur Y2K the instrument panel bezel just pops off, no screws.

illflem, I tried to pop it off. Didn't seem to want to budge. I am afraid I might break it. Any special place I should start? Any special technique needed? Thanks George

Don't work on 2000

The wires on the secondary side are different color. I tried switching the Yellow and the pink/blue on the main side. No good.

Cargo lite comes on with door open,or whenever dome lites called for. Dome lights on when call for Cargo lite.

I soldered the pink/blue back together. Put a small toggle switch in the Yellow line. Mounted switch in "A" pillar alongside on of the gauges. Now when I want to see the cargo light,I turn off the domes and courtesy lights.
