Driving out tomorrow night to pickup my brother's Ram in St. Louis from TomeyGun! We're both pretty psyched and looking forward to the ride... well, not really. Its about a 14 hour drive from NJ! We decided against flying as we thought it appropriate to drive mine out there for the pickup! :)

As for dealing with TomeyGun, is there anything I should watch out for or look for? I only read good things about him so I don't anticipate any problems. Just curious if anybody could comment on their experiences and/or issues!

Thanks!!!

Bite your tongue :--)

I have never bought a truck from TomeyGun but I have stopped by his dealership and talked to him. If ever do get a 3rd gen (blasphemy) I will buy it from Tommy. About the only thing I could think to watch out for with Tommy is his hot rod pickup. :-laf

P. S. Are you sure Tommy isn't goin to Scheids this weekend.

Tomeygun

I bought my 2004. 5 from Tomeygun in May. Flew in

and after arriving at the dealership was on my way in

less than an hour. Got a great deal and a great truck.

Long but easy trip back.

I too, have a Tomeygun special. Deal couldn't have been easier and absolutely no surprises when I got there. Truck was clean, right and ready to roll, including a full tank and paperwork ready in a flash. No problems whatsoever. When my dad gets ready to order his, it will be from Tom. I didn't get to experience his red ride, since he only had the EZ on it then. I think he is going to Schieds, unless his plans have changed.

Thanks for the comments. Tom is going to be there so I'm hoping to get a ride in his truck and/or some pics, if allowed!

If you guys are interested, I'll post them when we get back.

Later... . ;)

Well, well, well, the Big red ram gets a little respect, huh??

I can say this, I fueled up the new truck for NJTackle, and all i can say is:

"once you go TST, you'll never go back"

Really though, I am glad I have made the right people happy, because I know what would happen if I screwed up!

And yes, I will give you a ride when you get here, BUT be warned, you will want a TST box, and bad!

ps - and a new Con OFE clutch, hahahaha

PPS- we also have a ram SRT-10 here, and If I can SOMEHOW figure out how to get the hurst shifter in my truck, consider it done

The trip went extremely well! We left NJ around dusk Friday night and arrived St. Louis Saturday morning sometime around 10am.

The truck was sitting fully fueled and ready to go…as promised! If it weren't for the hour or so of BS'ing, we'd be in and out under 30 minutes. The paperwork went very smooth. No salesmen trying to sell us extended coverage or crap we don’t need. Tom is a great guy who I'd buy another Dodge from in a heart beat (actually this was my brother's truck)! I regret not canceling my order from Talley's when I bought mine, but I heard of Tom too late in the game and would of lost my deposit. :( My next truck purchase will definitely be from TomeyGun!

Bottom-line, expect to get a great price, excellent service, and the best diesel truck in the industry! :D

PS - Tom, if you find a way of getting that shifter in, I'd also be interested! Oo.

Glad all is well, the mirrors will be here today, and we will ship them when we get them...

I will be working on the shifter soon, I have one on order, but who knows if it will get here

Hey Tomeygun,

This might be old news (forgive me if it is!) but scroll down to the bottom of the page...

Maybe you could get some action if you were to stir the pot, seems real unfair if Chrysler will for them but not for you!

There are a lot of guys who wouldn't mind flyn or driveing out from California just to be able to get a straight deal from you!!! (I know I would have)

Like I said... this might be old news but last I heard Chrysler wouldn't give you any CARB certified trucks... sure would be good news if that changed!

Well, that would make two, see what happens is that you go to your Zone rep, and he is the REP for the "CA" zone... well he builds the truck like is was for calif. and then swaps it to you... therefore it gets CA emissions, because it was "suppose" to be for calif.

Wellll... . my rep cant do that because she cant even build cali. trucks for anyone because she does not have any states that need it. .

It stinks big time, but I have tried with no success

All you have to do is pick up the phone and call him. Fairly simple really. Computers and emails get screwed up all the time. I called him and we had a deal within 10 minutes. If you want great service from a salesman who really knows these trucks, call Tom. He ain't just some salesman who is trying to get a sale. He knows his stuff when it comes to these trucks. That's the kind of person I want to buy my truck from, and I did. Do a search and find his number, you will not regret it. Tom will do you an A-number 1 job! Good luck.

ive emailed tommy two weeks ago about price on new truck with no reply guess ill go else where

This could be true, because of our network handling about 2000 employees, we had to switch to larger server, and some email got doubled and some lost...

I just got about 60 emails that finally were purged off the old servers HD, and am going through them right now, if yours is in there i will respond to it

till later

PS - BUT my phone number on my website is the best way, really

haha, I have no "for-sure" proof that the mega-cab is coming, we can hope though

and your welcome, and the mirrors should be on there way... talk to you later!

ps - make sure you get guages first thing!

I had an issue with Tom when my truck came in. I got there and my price was different than he said, it was about $400 cheaper because chrysler was running the green sheets for that month. :-laf No hassles i just took it. He is great to "deal" with if you want to call it that the price is straightforward and if you don't take it you don't want to buy a dodge anyways. Thanks Tom. Soon we will have to go to gateway run what you brung and see what the trucks will do.
