I heard it break!

Has any one use the tonneau cover sold by Camping World that is made for 5th wheel units. I would like to have something that would keep the contents of the truck bed reasonably dry while towing and it would be nice to have something to keep prying eyes off the stuff when unhitched. Good, Bad, or any Suggestions would be appreciated.

I had one custom made for my Toyota. I still
have it and use it thru the summer months. It worked great. I had the hitch in the truck and he cut a square that rolls up when pulling. He reinforced the areas that might rub while traveling. I have not seen the one you refer to. But mine worked well for going on six years. I now pull the 5th wheel trailer (3400 lbs) with 2001.
Good luck!

I havn't tried the cw tonneau cover- I went with a roll-up type- a bit more secure when the 5ver is off the truck- and it dosen't stretch with water or snow- (I've had 6-8 inches of sierra snow on it no problem) #ad
- it will also lock into a position just infront of the hitch and it hides my fireplace and firewood pretty well- I think lock & roll is a bit better than the pace edwards but thats my $. 02 bub

I thought about that cover. I think they have a web page. . http://www.adbrook (I think).
Can look it up when I get home tomorrow if want it.
Anyway,I went with the Roll N Lock, purchased from a dealer who handled several different makes including Pace Edwards. He recommended
Roll N'Lock. Kinda pricey but we like it. When pull the fiver we close it about halfway.
The reason I didn't go with the one you mentioned was I couldn't find anyone that had one and I wasn't sure about the velcro all around the bed, holding up. BTW these folks advertised for one issue last year in
TDR. I think that's where I got the address.

Any of you with roll-tops also have a toolbox? I am interested in the roll-tops since I gave up the topper for fiver. The roll tops seem to take up about 9 inches of bed when closed. I'd like to have a toolbox and rolltop to keep important stuff dry when towing and keep it all dry when not. Have thought about seeing if Highwayman could build custom box to go with rolltop.

You mean something like this...

This is a toolbox/tank combo designed for use with a rolltop, you might want to contact them and see if they just make a toolbox (but the extra fuel would be nice)
