i got a Tonneau cover for X-mas for the old man who bought it for an 03' that he never bought so he gave it too me. point of this is, an 03' SB and a 99' SB must be diffrent lengths. the cover comes up 1" short on my tailgate. Does anyone know the lenght of an 03' SB. i think they are shorter than a 99' SB. Any help would be great thanks guys.

I don't know if they are different or not. They could be since your truck is a 2nd gen and the 03 is a 3rd gen. If the cover is vinyl, it might just be shrunk from the cold. Wait for a warm day and try again if that is the case.

I thought the point of having a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck, with a Diesel is so you can use the bed, and load stuff in it, or pull a 5'er. .    Why cover the bed???

I have one of the clamp on covers, no hole to drill, for a 2nd gen short bed. I was going to try and shorten it to fit behind my toolbox.

Maybe you would like to buy it, and I'll have one made?

""it might just be shrunk from the cold. Wait for a warm day and try again if that is the case. ""

exacty

If I removed mine when it was cold out I had to wait till it warmed up before I could put it back on ... . they really shrink up in the cold. .

WHY COVER????-----because its sharp... its a pain ,,,,,but its sharp if I didnt have a rino liner Id put one on my truck 4sure. but itd be the assisted fiberglass one... . maybe even the remote model.
