I'm trying to decide what kind of tonneau cover to get for my Ram. I previously had a SnugLid (fiberglass), but my fairly constant need to haul materials made it a pain in the rear to load. I was thinking of a folding or sliding type, but would like it to be fairly water-tight. I also need to consider how the unit installs so I can decide whether I go over or under the rail with Line-X. Would the Pace-Edwards unit be a good choice? If not, any other recommedations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Am a new TDR member and new to Dodge; however, I had a Pace Edwards cover on my Ford 150. I loved it. It keeps relatively dry. I liked the versitality. The only drawback is that you have to be careful no to put too much weight (preferably none)on the cover. They have just come out with a new model. It is much stronger and costs a lot more. It also has an electric open and shut feature. It is not that difficult to install. Follow the directions implicitly. I recently installed another one on my turbodiesel. To save some money, contact Pace Edwards and see if they have a "second" available. It will be about half the price! You won't even notice what may be wrong with it. There is another vendor in Florida that makes one very similar and sturdier (than the original). If you want the name of the vendor let me know (luque@toledotel.com). Good luck. Jim Luque

I love my Pace Edwards, did the haard cover once but it's a pain. I used the Hurculiner- good stuff for the money!!!!!!!!

I bought a Glastite Illusion Tonneau cover. It is 100% molded fiberglass and is about 8 to 10 inches high. It has rear lid that resembles a car trunk lid. I have gotten many compliments. I have a 3500 2001 Quad cab.
