Has anyone had experience with either the Fold-a-Cover folding tonneau or the Roll-n-Lock retractable? I'm looking for a cover that will lock, be somewhat water-tight and not rattle. Thanks for your input.

Retrac

I have the retrac roll-top cover, it is waterproof and extreemely water proof and smoooth to operate. Due to the bearings on ever prvot ther is some rattle that is hear with the rear window open. (Hardly noticable. )

Hope this helps.

I have the Access Rollup cover. I like it a lot. It has slide latches that lock the cover down from under the cover. Of course this only helps if your tailgate locks. The cover is a soft cover and rolls up and closes very easily. It only has two positions, closed and all the way open. It installs easily and looks great. I would buy it again.

i am looking at the "truxedo" rollup cover. the design is very similar to the access, except the velcro section is perfectly vertical instead of at a 45 degree angle. it also has a lifetime guarantee which many other covers do not have. anyone have experience with this top. good or bad? would appreciate the input.

thanks

I have a fold-a-cover. The advantage it has is that it is strong enough to walk on. If I have the bed full of junk (most of the time) and I want to haul something like a few pieces of plywood. I can tie it on top of the bed cover.

I have the Truxedo for about a year now. I have no problems and would recomend it for your consideration. The velcro sides are just as strong as when it was new and the Life Time warranty covers just about any problem you can have with the unit. The only down side on the warranty is that you would have to send the unit back to Truxedo for their inspection for a replacement as per their service rep when I first inquired. I quess that's a small price to pay rather than buying a new cover again.

I've had snow sitting on top along with ice for a few weeks with no damage or visible wear to the unit. It's 99% water tight. You get a little water on the left and right corner of the tail gate. Not enough to to effect anything you have in the bed.
