2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Too much Maxgear?

Just changed out my rear diff. fluid and it took about 4 1/2 quarts. I did not jack up each side to drain the last bit as many do but I let it drain about 20 minutes and mopped up the little puddles in the bottom. 1/2 to 3/4 in. below plug. Is this right?

sounds right to me, mine took 4-4. 5 quarts. Only drained out maybe 3 quarts though

Thanks for the reply. Fritz's site says 5. 1 qts. The search threads I found said 3. 5. This place is great for clearing up confusion!
