Too Much Smoke!

Well, I knew that would get some attention .



Pulled up to work this morning and one of my guys said he noticed some smoke coming out from under my truck. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with lots of smoke as long as it's coming out of the right place . First thing I thought of was the blow by tube, so I took a quick look under the truck and holey smoke sure seems like way too much coming out the blow by. I can see it just pouring out like it's got a fan blowing it out. The blow by tube has been re-routed just behind the transfer case on the inside of the frame and the bottle is most likely laying on some freeway somewhere. The tube is hanging down below the frame about 2" so it's easy to see the smoke coming out. Maybe the light was just right and it's not so bad but just the same, has anybody else noticed an unusual amount of smoke coming out there blow by:{

Relocation of pill bottle

When I relocated my pill bottle to the circular filing cabinet I ran a hose down to the back of the axle at the lower control arm. The first time I looked at my truck running,from the front, there was some smoke coming from where the end of the tube is. Even with the wind blowing you could see it so I would imagine at the right place/time it might seem like a lot. Just my . 02

Ive heard of others complain about the thinner oils doing this.

Funny thing, when I installed my helper pump I inadvertently pulled a vacuum line off from under the firewall. I think it has something to do with the AC venting. Anyway, while the line was disconnected I noticed an unusual amount of smoke coming out of the blow by. As soon as I re-connected it the smoke seem to subside. I know you guys are going the think I'm crazy here but I'm sure it had something to do with it The smoke was so bad while the vacuum line was dis-connected, I could see smoke rising up the drivers side while sitting at a traffic signal:--)
