Too Smoky !!!!!!!!!

Well just for grins I removed all the Edge stuff and installed Smarty Revo software and ran it on setting seven. Unbelievable power for a stock truck and not much more smoke than when on three setting. Smoke billows if I punch it, but cruising on the highway the exhaust is negligable. I am considering staying with the Smarty at this point and boxing up the edge setup.

try running on the even settings. I used to have excessive smoke problems on my truck also till I went to the even programs. I also have had better luck with 4. 11 than REVO. So much so that I switch back. Right now my truck runs like the modded 12v gets 19+ MPG consistantly, and really only billows black in a lug up from low RPM with a moderate amount of throttle.

Yeah, I tried the even setting and it doesn't smoke much until you really get into it. But without the timing I don't get the mileage. I may try the non-REVO SW and see what happens.

its a diesel it! It smokes. i love the somke keep the taigater off my ***.



But hey i love old smokey diesels. 3406B model cat turned up smokes like a frieght train but it keept up with those freight tains allso. pretty funny when you push cars up a 7% grade with a semi!!!!

I like some smoke myself but my truck was looking like a tractor pull when running around empty. I was literally smoking away 2 MPG!! 4. 11 on even settings with the tone wheel mod has mine burning clean 95% of the time. Much better than REVO.

So whats new? Looks like the same S06 V414A DR11S from May. Is it different somehow?

All I can say is that you can't post about too much smoke without posting a video or a picture of it so we know what you are talking about. How else are we supposed to help you! !

With any timing program (stock TM and PR) I can blow chunks of coal. It's gets worse with increasing duration. No timing and it only starts to smoke at about 75% throttle.
