Thanks, TDR Staff

Has any had their tank dipped

....at the body shop....

The company I work at has a long tradition of running Fords for crew trucks... despite the fact that we have been burning up the turbos and clutches on the 350 PSDs on a fairly regular basis.

No matter how much our crews like the power and responsiveness of my truck, the owner still wanted to stick with another PSD...

The new truck was on its way, being delivered by the salesman no less (cab/chassis only, we build our own beds) and it spun a rod bearing 5 miles from the dealership :p

Ford said they would put a new factory crate PSD in it and get it right out to us, AND extend the warranty for another 2 years...

No dice, wake up time for this place, we told them to stuff the truck and I'm driving the owner to the Dodge dealership today.

:D :D :D To Bad... So Sad... Bye Bye Ford

It's a matter of buying a "truck" or a "pickup". Frame strength aside, I'll take the medium-duty engine, thank you! Glad boss-man is comming around.

Sounds like a similiar story to a story I heard recently.

A friend of mine is friends with a trailer shop owner.

After his original ford ate a valve or two, he decided it was time for a new truck. My friend , a 3500 Ram 4x4 HO owner, thought he had his friend swayed into getting a Ram. A standard cab, ho 6 speed, 2x4 to max out the towing capability. .

The dead ford and it's replacement is used to haul trailers for the shop, to customers, from the factory... 5th's and TT.

But it turned out he went for a Ford, had a custom towing bed installed on it, and flew out to pick it up and on the way home he was going to pick up a trailer for his lot.

Never got there, something blew on the motor... the local dealer where ever he was said it was fixed after a day or so... . he didn't get but a few miles or hours into his drive and it blew up again... next they spent a week trying to fix the motor... NG, flew home with out the truck while the dealer was waiting on a new engine to come from Ford.

How does the commercial go... .

CLUNK, could of had a cummins.

WOW... That's more blown PSD's for the One Guy than FD. COM has record of for the last year. I wonder what causes that? And His first mistake was taking it back to a Ford dealer for repair.

:( DENNY... ... ... ... ... .....
