I was pulling my 5th wheel and a small boat behind it this last weekend and my temps where getting up there pretty quick. Granted I was pulling some steep grades and I had the Juice/Attitude and the EZ stacked. EZ was on level 1 and the Juice/Attitude was on 3/5 or lower. The back down was set at 1350. Anyway my temps where slowing me down so on the way back I decided to take the EZ off to see what happens and it made a huge difference in my temps while towing. I had the Juice/Attitude on level 4/5 or 5/5 and I pulled the same hills faster and it took a lot longer to get to hit those same temps. I didn't realize how much hotter the truck ran with a little bit a fuel pressure. I do get better mileage with the EZ on the truck with the Juice/Attitude for daily driving. Just a little FYI :D

Scrappy... I've been beta testing for over an year now. I can't wait for it to come out so I can upgrade to a HOT box. I'll need a bigger turbo :D

Do you have Surging problems when you are using the Juice/Attitude during towing. . Granted I have an 05 but I was pulling my 5th wheel this last weekend and I was on a two-lane going through the caynon doing around 55 to 60mph and I had mine on 5/5 and it was surging, so I turned it back down to 2 and I thought I still felt it. I was wondering if I'm having a fuel pressure issue. I thought they fixed the fuel pessure issue on the 05's?

thanks.

Cummins-man... was it a fast shaking type surging or was it like the box was losing power then coming back on? On a stock transmission I wouldn't tow over level 3. It might have been your torque converter slipping. Or was your box simply defueling? Mine doesn't surge at all... when it starts to defuel it is smooth?

Clayton.

I really don't think the transmission was slipping because I was just cruizing easy through the canyon. Before I got on the two-lane I was on a 4 lane and I had to go over this

little pass and I had it in 5/5 and I slowly started to push it to the floor and It just kept pulling hard to 90 mph. then I backed out of it, and it was de-fueling because it was getting hot. My 5th probably weighs 7k lbs. It just felt like I was playing with the throttle up and down. My 02 Dodge with the Drag comp. acted like that before pulling and it ended up being a dirty fuel filter, changed it and it went away. My 05 only has 2k miles so far.

Thats interesting since a little pressure seems to help cool the EGT's on the TST box.

Your right it does seem to keep my temps down a little bit at WOT. But towing I ran cooler with out the added pressure. Plus with the box turned off my SOP meter tells me the truck feels faster. Maybe I don't have the airflow to use the extra fuel the EZ provides. I need a bigger turbo... that's all there is to it :D

Misc Ramblings

I'm afraid to tow on anything above level 1. And when I say "tow" I mean 25K. Man that's a lot of "rip the driveline to shreds" power. Cruising empty I'll run Level 3. Don't like going to 4 or 5 'cause I like my stock clutch for now. For some reason there's a lot of smoke on level 1 lately. Maybe 'cause it's finally getting warmer here. Puts on a heck of a nice smoke show on Level 3. :D
