Tool Box

I am looking for a "pork chop" style tool box for my 03 short bed.

I have researched the local stores and the internet. Seems they are made for the long bed only. I need a box that fits on the side so I can put my 4 wheeler in and close the tailgate! I'm thinking I should have bought a long bed!!

I have the Tuffy sidebox in mine. It is a long bed, but it would fit a short box very nicely!

I almost bought the Weathergard, but I wanted the box below the siderails. The Weathergard is a very good box, but I promise you the Tuffy is every bit as good. It is very well built, and the locking mechanism is really nice. I got the aluminium in black, sort of wished I would have got the steel in white. Oh well!

I saw the Knaack and protec sites and don't want to mount one on the bedrail. Thanks anyway Klenger and Steve.

Stick, I like the Tuffy box. They have a couple of dealers in Salt Lake City so I will check it out.

I built two out of MDO plywood and coated them with bedliner. Low cost and they work great. I put one on each side and they go from the wheel well to the front of the bed. I just took them out last night as my truck went in today for a flatbed.

Looks great. Can you still fit a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood flat in the bed? If yes, do you think you could with a box of each side? Thanks,

UWS makes REALLY nice stuff, and they make about any box you could want including a wheel well boxes in 2 different sizes.

Dee Zee makes a nice wheel well box too.
