Does anyone know where a toolbox/fuel tank combo could be purchased? Are they even made?

Check www.transferflow.com as well. I have one in my 01 that I installed as well as having installed 6 others for friends and family. They are spendy but extremely well engineered and built. Every kit is vehicle specific, fits like a glove with excellent instructions complete with every screw,wire tie and clamp that you need. The display is very easy to read and works seemlessly. Other than having a second filler it acts just like a single bigger tank. I just can't say enough about how impressed I am with their quality. I have no associtation with TransferFlow.

Transferflow tanks are nice, but way too expensive. I got my tank directly from RDS. www.rdsaluminum.com . They are the company that makes the boxes northern tool sells, however if you order from RDS, you can get black powdercoated diamondplate, which I got. It was extremely simple to install, which can't be said for the transferflow units, and after everything was said and done, including parts, I installed my 51 gal aux tank/tool combo for $500.

You can also get a "Fuel andTool"(by Handy Industries) from Camping World. There are two sizes-35gal and 55gal. You can join Camping World for like $20 and then save 10-20% on your purchase. I've had one of these(55gal) for about five years in three different trucks, never had a problem.
