Wow

It seems like just yesterday when I opened this thread for the first time and my heart broke when I read everything. Their arent very many things that bring the tears on but this was one of them. You have been truely blessed with this now growing up little angel. It is just totally amazing to see how far she has come and the last time I saw her she was sick and still one of the happiest kids I have ever seen. Someday Ashland can look at this thread and read about everyone here that cares about her and your family here at your TDR family. I wish you and your family all the best because you truely deserve it. Ill see you all real soon at SEEFood.

GOD has BLESSED you!

Those "footprints in the sand" are HIS as HE carried you through this ordeal. Your reward is this little girl, happy and healthy. Praise GOD! HE answers PRAYER! No one can know your ordeal and the heartbreak you experienced unless they have experienced it in their own lives. A sick child is the most crushing anguish. I am thankful she is doing well. GregH

Toolman, I came across this thread just tonight and must say I didn't read very much of it. I seen where your baby was in trouble and to the end of thread wheres she's doing great!!! I guesse the reason being is my little girl is two months out from being born and couldn't bare to read it all. I will say a prayer for Ashland, and thank our Lord.

She sure is a pretty little girl.

you all take care.

Tim,

Where are the pictures of her with the right kind of tools (wrenches n screwdrivers!) in her cute little fingers? How bout her 'driving' that cool white CTD? Awesome beautiful girl ya got there!

Tim,

Just wanted to say that was a pretty amazing story; more like journey you put up here... I am sure the small things in life don't bug you as much as they used too :)

You really need to copy/paste this thread or the words in it and send it to her via an email. They capture and carry so much emotion that she will read and cherish them, many times over when she can. I opened gmail accounts for both of my children and try to send them stuff that captures the "moment" for them to look back upon when they are older.

I too had scary times with my daughter when she was born. She quit breathing on my chest 5 hours after we got home. Ironically I had just taught a class in neonatal resuscitation to the paramedics who showed up at our house. I will never forget the one medic looking at me and asking what I wanted them to do... I have never in my life felt so helpless and bereft of my faculties and all I could say is "I don't know"...

But all turned out well, much like your story. Having experienced the helplessness of your child being ill, a smile or a giggle is all the more precious and sacred... I am sure you know what I mean.

It's a little belated but congrats on a gorgeous little girl!

Pete
