Well with the odds stacks against me, I finally have to accept that I'm not making it to PA... Heres the top 7 reasons I'm not making it to PA.

6. Alternator Doesn't Charge batteries

5. Transmission in LIMP mode (3rd gear only)

The words "sledpulling" and "unbreakable" dont belong on the same thread... :-laf

Darn that SLEDPULLING!!

BTW on the bright side I pulled 3 inches!

I was really looking forward to getting that new turbo put on, too :{

Its just not the same putting it on and sitting in the driveway revving it :-laf

Which charger are you going to run?

The new “Pro Street 66” by High Tech Turbo.

Basically same turbo I have now except the turbine side has been reworked and the turbine wheel is 2. 8" up from 2. 53 inches.

Ahh sort of like the 70mm turbine II uses on the their "super" series... .

That should definitely help you get the air out up top.

Wish you were there! Now I have to figure out how to get my video loaded. But... wish you were there to compete too. :-laf

As if one or two reasons isn't enough!

Has anyone ever tried to put the later transfer case (3rd gen) into their 2nd gen truck? The 271/273 models are quite a bit heavier and are rated for more torque. I wonder if it would be a simple swap? I've seen and heard of quite a few people cracking their case on a 2nd gen pulling with it.

Dang Sony Handycam is broken -- won't let me transfer any of my IRP or Stoneboro vids to disk/computer. Can't get a "Make VCD" selection -- apparently the programming in the Handycam is all fubar.

Off to BestBuy to raise hell since they're going to try the "must return w/i 14 days of purchase" BS on me.

Do you think anything should be done with the Tcase? I mean is it worth welding or fixing considering my application. . It is a DLD. . I was thinking maybe buy a new cover for it and sell it?

IS that a crossdrilled greasable Ujoint I see?? Garrett, Garrett shame on you!

Goerends put it in when they did the transmission. . Never gave it a second thought... It broke the yoke too so it doesn't really matter anyways :-laf

True, but probably the ujoint failed, which cause the yoke to fail, which broke your rear driveshaft, which broke your transfer case, which caused you to miss Stoneboro!!

I am sure Dave was thinking longevity on the ujoint, that is why he put it in. He didn't know you were going to abuse your truck so much. :)

I think the driveshaft tube failed first.

Garrett, you broke it right. No sense in half ***ing it. Have to make it worth your time, you know. ;)

Still sucks though.
