Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Top speed of 97 12v

My 97 12 valve with 4. 10 gears and 2. 55-85-16 hits the governor at about 90mph, how much faster will I be able to go with the 3k GSK? (On the track... )

And for those who know, how close is the OD between the 2 trannys? Which one is taller?

The auto is taller, I think something like . 62. The manual is around . 8 I believe. I would have to dig out the magazines to know for sure.

155 on the dyno with Gear Vendors & 3.54

This is after the speed limiter wire was unplugged on a 2002 HO 6sp with 3. 54 factory 265 tires and a Gear Vendors overdrive. The Speed limiter shut things down at 120. Engine was assisted by and Edge EZ, and DD2s.



By the way the tires looked from 130 mph on up I would leave the speed limiter hooked up. Speed was read off the DynoJet dyno.



The truck was appropriately owned by Verlyn Fast of Fast Coolers.



It was very FAST!
