Did your domain name get hijacked? That URL goes to testcardstore.com. ?? Anyway, would this be a good time to get an exhaust brake installed or is it a show only? Oh yeah, what about May 18?

Hmmm, I just clicked it and everything was cool. We have every intention of turning some wrenches, and I suspect we'll have some folks more than willing to help out with an exhaust brake install.

And thanks for the heads up on the May 18 thing. :(

Thought I would bring this back to the current list and find out how the planning and such are going.

Is this the first time for a joint event of this nature in Canada? Have you had any other local events of note?

To the best of our knowledge, there hasn't been an event of this nature in Canada before. We think the combination of human torque and machine torque just kind of fits.

As for the diesel show, we had a small one in Calgary last year, however this is our first in Saskatchewan. We lost the hill climb event, and unfortunately there are no other venues for something in the performance nature. We are doing several installs, including a B1B install on an 03, 12 valve and 24 valve injectors, and a possible exhaust install. We'll be doing some impromptu tech seminars, and we've got some high horsepower trucks coming up for the show.

On the Strongman side, its going to be an incredible show. Support from Fort Qu'Appelle has been amazing and several big name sponsors have signed, such as Pepsi and Labatts/Budweiser.

In light of the cancellation of the hill climb, we decided to focus on the educational side of the diesel trucks.

With this in mind, your's truly will personally be blowing up:

1) A 97 12-valve with a 370 injector swap

2) An 02 24 -valve with a DD2 injector swap

3) An 03 Common rail with a B1B - EX3 turbo swap

4) A possible exhaust brake install

The diesel show was very quiet, actually. We had a total of 8 trucks there, and Marc Kuzik amazed everyone with his knowledge of the P7100 and 12 valve trucks. By the time he was done with Ians 370s and AFC springs, he had a truck with virtually no smoke and with the 12K in the back, it was really moving. Anyone in the Edmonton area who wants some 12 valve work done, I HIGHLY recommend Marc.

I managed to bang a set of DD2s into Alan Gades truck. Didn't break anything, and the truck really responded nicely. Psssst, Alan, more turbo needed. :D

A Scotty II install, and some fuel system tech was about it. We had a chance to snoop around in a 6L PowerStroke that Percival Mercury loaned us for the event, and Alan and I went for a fast haul down the highway in their lifted 03 with 37" boggers on it. Nifty truck, but I'll stick to my Cummins, thanks anyway

Scotty can share some details of the strongman show. I'm plum tuckered out.

Oh yeah. I did find out how much an 03 clutch can hold. :D
