Does it hurt to put a torque in before a valve body? I got a good deal on a pro-torque torque and had the chance to install it, plan on getting a valve body soon. the torque seems to work excellent and i can really see the differance but some times between 1-2 or 2-3 shifts it acts like its in neutral for a second, doesn't really feel like its slipping. The transmission has never. slipped before. I no you don't hear much about pro-torque on this forum but it really made a differance, only paid $400. 00 Can. wash just installed in a new truck then truck got wrote off. Planning on putting a BD valve body in. Would the torque cause the transmission to slip that fast?

Running Smarty on 5 with stock or mild torque management.

Appreciate any help or info.

Thanks

Yes, a tighter TC without the accompanying line pressure increase is going to increase the amount of slip that will happen. Couple that with Smarty SW5 and the only question is when will the trans go tango uniform.

My guess would be sooner rather than later unless your are very careful. ;)
