I need advice on a torque converter and power adders.
I plan on never going anymore than maybe a set of RV 275's and possibly a Quad XZT+. I currently have a Transgo Shift kit in and was considering upgrading to a torque converter from these guys eBay Store - Direct Transmission Parts: TORQUE CONVERTER, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION PUMP.
My Trans is currently in good shape, shifts fine, doesn't slip, etc... ,I am just trying to get a lower stall to help with MPG, and better drivability in the lower RPM range, and truth be told I really can't justify paying $1200-1500 for one of the other ones. I don't pull anything more than a 6000# boat.
My father in law uses one of theirs behind his 12V right know and is happy with it.
Anybody use them?
Would those power adders be too much for my simple transmission/tc combo?
Anyother advice or recommendations are welcome! ( keep in mind I'm a tight A**, so $$$$ is a factor)
