This line is rooted from IL road salt and we have turbo off NOW is the time to repl. Runs behind engine over to pass side and 90`s up to fitting . Can`t we just run a hose to replace. Dealer wants 145 and we need it today ? Any help appreciated. Last time it would take a week to get it and we may have snow on the way by Sat here.

Comes off the converter cooler mounted on drivers side.

That is a Cummins part, give me your ESN and I will check it for you. If so a Cummins dealer could get it for you tomorrow if the factory has one.

You can try the hose thing, but is a nasty place to get to later if it gives you trouble.

JMHO.

Heater hose is going to break down over time with trans fluid going through it. If you have to do it today at least use hydraulic line which is available at some Napa's. Your going to wan' to use two continuous clamps on each end but I suspect it will still weep over time.

Eng #57009314 Recon I`d better be calling the Cummins dealer he`s about 20 miles. I believe it`s some sorta T . The T don`t look good but the rotten side is at the TC cooler on drivers side.

Prairie, Its actually coolant sooo. I`m leary using heater hose but ,waiting for a week rubs me insane with he 351 turbo we just got in ready to go on it we , believe need to get the old studs on back off exhaust man for the 351 to fit. Thats another hopefully small hurtle standing in the way of having her back up.

By your ESN it would be Item #14, right??

If so about $40. 00 from Cummins.

Part Number is 3966225.

Let me know if I can help or if that shot doesn't look right. My '06 is different than that.
