Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque Converter Lock and Unlock Problem

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9 4646re transmission. I am having the same problem. Transmission seems to search for the correct gear. The alt. Wire problem is that diesel models only or both diesel and gasoline models?

No idea. I suppose that if the components are the same, it would cause similar issues.
