torque converter lock up

i just had the ats torque converter valve body installed with all the band and servo's and such replaced and it drove fine for about 65 miles then city driving the converter keeps locking up and won't unlock. it even locked up twice at a stop light killing the motor. any ideas on what it is?

Do you have the ATS controller also?

no i didn't get that i was going to put a mystery switch in to lock the converter when i wanted.

it's in the shop again today it won't shift into 3rd without letting completely off the throttle and easing back down on the throttle or manually shifting 2nd to D then it goes into 3rd. Still keeping the converter locked in when coming to a stop about 50% of the time also.

Sounds to me like you have a problem in the Valve Body. Call ATS and talk to Mike and he should be able to help you out with your issue.
