I recently added the 2 wheel low lock kit and the 3000 GSK kit to my '97 3500 4X4. While I was in there I also moved the #8 torque plate forward approximately 1/8” from the stock location. After the GSK install there was a slight increase in idle RPM. Three other changes also occurred following the install. One: when setting the cruise control speed it initially speeds up 2-4 mph above what I set it at but it eventually comes down to where it was set at. Two: when shifting manually from second gear to third there is a little blip like increase in rpm just before it shifts into third. Three: when traveling down the freeway whether with or without my 3,000 pound camper on and whether or not under heavy load or pull, the torque converter is locking and unlocking. Could any of these issues be related to the modifications I just made or simply a coincidence? Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a stock auto? The blip that you are reffering to more than likely comes from the fact that since you installed the GSK, your rpm's are rising quicker than your pcm with a stock vb can compensate for SOMETIMES!, not always the case. Second... how much of an rpm increase did you get after you installed the GSK? On an auto truck, I would have to ask how many clicks did you set it to. I like to set them at 2 clicks after initial contact and it is used by many on the TDR. If you did use this method and you rpm was still higher than what you started with than I would go ahead and back off "one" spring pack one click at a time(mark it with whiteout so you know which one you backed off) till you are where your stock springs idled at. Remember that the pcm looks for tps voltage and relative speed when engaging OD and backin off the springs a bit will bring tps voltage up accross the board bringing it line with what the PCM is prorammed to look for.
