Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque Converter up grade

I am thinking of doing a torque converter upgrade, the transmission is an automatic,and already has a upgraded valve body kit in it. It also has a BD lock up. I have a Power Edge Comp five stage chip, I need something that is not going to shutter in stage four and five. I have been told either the new Banks converter, or a BD, any thoughts about these two or others would be great. ?

Contact the major manufacturers and listen to their information and then ask them for a competent installer. I think you need a system not just a new piece.

I was told to check out the ATS Triple loc converter also, I went on thier web site and all I could find was a Five star converter, does anyone know about this converter? they didn't list the triple loc anywhere.

The Five Star is the replacement for the Triple Loc. I have the Triple Loc in my truck and couldn't be happier. However, there are a number of Quality transmission and torque converter companies that can help you. Do some research, call and talk with the folks and then pick the one that you find to be the best. As far as I can tell they all have a loyal following, and other than simple "my dad can beat up your dad" type talk they are all quality transmission systems. Also, each of these companies has only the highest regards for it's competition. Or so they say

I talked with Dave from Goerend Bros. today, he was great, had lots of great ideas for converter that would best fit my truck, the warranty is crazy, lifetime!! Oo.
