I was wondering if you guys may have some ideas as to why my converter won't lock. I have never had any problems with it before. 6 months ago I had the transmission rebuilt and upgraded. I have a single disc billet converter and several upgrade to the transmission in cluding a trans-go shift kit. I am going to take the truck back to the transmission shop because it has a warranty. I would just like to know more about it. It stopped as I was driving back to Seattle from Long Beach unloaded. I have completely disconnected the auto-loc and believe the problem may be with the solenoid in the transmission. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks,

Ben

Mine lost lock up when the bracket that holds the boost valve broke. My transmission has 195K miles on it. I called Bill at DTT and he sent me an improved version of the bracket. Good luck.

Fixed it!

It turns out it was a defective torque converter. The company that rebuilt the transmission 6 months ago pulled it back out and put a new converter in for free Oo.

I would like to thank Marysville Tranmission in Marysville, Wa.

They pulled the transmission checked it out completely and replaced a torque converter that was not theres no question asked.
