"No fightin... . Just expressing enthusiasm for one or another.....

When you stock 47RE boys' transmissions go out, you too will have to make a decision what you want to spend your $4000 on & I would imagine you would also be proud & happy with what you buy. If not, then you must not have chosen the right transmission for your needs.

Opinions are like A#%*$#s, everyone has one. "

Clay

That clay guy was pretty smart on that old thread... .

G-O-E-R-E-N-D Brothers Triple Disk Converter.

I think that other thread got closed because you asked for it to be. Not because the mods did not like what was going on.

Hey Dieselminded, did you ever get your truck running? Sorry to hear about that. Hope it doesn't cost you a whole lotta $$$$.

Truck is STILL down

Bob Wagner is sending me a Loaner ECm to trouble shoot and hold me off till a possible Catcher Ecm

Once my truck returns its reliablillity It will be shut back down for the Trany mods .....

Then Once my Trucks Returns its reliabillity AGAIN It will be a new home for an upgraded Turbo... . in the works.

Then Im going to sell the truck

JUST KIDDIN

But... . I will have to drive it for 60 years to get my Money back out of it

LOL

Now running oem but very soon will turn those letters to DTT. I just need to find the time to let the truck be down for a couple of days. ---- Although the way the oem is acting, it may make that part mute

Question ????

Where do you guys get the "%" from ???

99% DTT

79% DTT

And so on ??

DTT has/had 89%, 91% and 93% Torque Converters. That is a slipage ratio or some such thing. I have the 89H, which Bill recommends for towing. The tighter ones 91 and 93 are for higher performance users. The tighter the TC the more it will want to creep forward when placed in gear. I would think that the tighter ones would also create more heat in stop and go traffic situations. SNOKING

I rode in a 89%, it shifted firm yet comfortable. I use the 91% in my truck, you definately feel it shift and it wants to leap forward when put in gear. I love it, my wife stands on the brake pedal. With the controller, the 4-2 (?) downshift can sure wake you up. LSFarm gave me a driving lessons when he installed my upgrade, and that was a very good idea! I've been told that the 93% feels like you are getting hit in the rear by a freight train.
