Hello,

I'm considering an upgrade on my transmission. Does anyone have a comment about the new ATS 5 clutch "Fiskus" torque converter? If you were going to go this route, what would you include for towing a 10k 5er? My truck is stock, no engine upgrades.

My truck: 00 Dodge CTD 2500 short bed, 4:10 (used to be 3:54), Gear Vendors, B/D exh, brake w/pressloc. , Auto, Airdog fuel pump, 4 gauges, 60k miles, orig. wheels and tires.

Unless you start seriously BOMBing your truck, a triple disc will be more than enough convertor for you. The 5 disc will be over-kill. I can't slip my triple at all. Rock solid. :D

Thanks for the reply. What brand of converter do you have and how long have you had it installed? Did you do any other mods to the transmission when you had that done? My truck is stock, no engine mods. I just want a stronger drive train to pull my 5er. What should I expect to pay for a triple disk installed?
