Hi all,
I have installed and then removed (several times), a #6 torque plate in my 95 5spd. Alas, Too much smoke. Moving the AFT housing rearward and backing off the star wheel help but the smoke level is still not acceptable. Smoke is a problem just off of the line, or until the boost gets to 2 or 3 psi. Also, my altitude (7500 ft adds to the condition). The folks at TST think perhaps I should spend a few bucks and trade my #6 for a #11. Before I do that, I was just
wondering if moving my #6 plate rearward would provide the same result? Are the profiles similar? If so, anyone care to guess how far back I should go?
Ok all you plate experts, go for it!
