torque spec

hey anybody know the torque spec for the band clamp that joins the compressor side of the turbo to the aluminum elbow that heads off to the intercooler. I could just crank it down, but i dont want to strip it out or anything.

oh heay thats right, just keep tightening it until the air ratchet stops i remember now

I say if it strips out, then what a good excuse to rebuild it better!! Just double nut it with stronger nuts and there you go! Too bad we can't do that with head bolts... he he he

Clamp torque

The clamp torque is 75 in. lbs per the 2000 service manual, page 11-18.

thats INCH POUNDS B..... not foot pounds put away the half inch impact wrench and take a deep breath,



ps, think im gonna order some parts just in case, never know what might be breakin next
