Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque specs

I loaned a friend my service manual and need some info. He E-mailed me the bolt pattern but not the torque specs. I am doing a major upgrade this weekend and it was reccommended I re-torque the headbolts. Anybody please?

My 98. 5 manual says torque them all to 66 ft-lbs and then add 1/4 turn.

My 2000 manual lists head bolt torque as 77ft/lbs plus a quarter turn.

My 2002 service manual states:



Cylinder Head --- Bolts (step one 50lbs) (step two 105lbs)

My 2001 manual says: Tighten in sequence to 59 ft/lbs then to 77 ft/lbs then 1/4 turn. Sixpack

Step 1 59 ft-lbs

Step 2 77 ft-lbs

Step 3 verify 77 ft-lbs

Step 4 rotate all bolts 1/4 turn
