I currently have a AFE Stage I Proguard and TAG III installed. I threw out the stock intake tube that has the baffles and replaced with a polished aluminum 5. 5 inch wide tube. Do most of you leave the white veins on the bottom stock elbow? I didn't know it was better to leave them and I already ripped it to peices to get em off. Too late now. The instructions said to take it off before placing the TAG III.

So far I've been thinking about using an aftermarket torque tube to smoothen out the airflow. I'm deciding over the new AFE TT or the Cool Blue Hose. Since I already have the TAG III, does anyone know wether it will fit in the new AFE Torque Tubes? Which one will produce more turbo noise. AFE's or the Blue one? More noise is what I want.

I know the TAG III's fit into the Cool Blue Hoses. Do the Cool Blue Hoses flow the same 200 cubic feet of air per minute that the new AFE Torque Tubes claim to increase with the Stage I?

Thanks for helping me decide.

The TAG III won't fit in the (new) AFe Torque Tube (I tried and that's why I have the Cool Blue Hose now). The TT is definately lOuDeR than the CBH. As far as the 200 cubic ft. /min. goes don't know. BUT the truck definately has more pep and throttle response now than it did with just the TT.

-Anybody need a TT, PM me?

So you're saying you getting better response with the Cool Blue Hose and TAG III than the AFE Torque Tube? Thanks for the info Blake.

The TT is a roll molded plastic part and the interior portion near the turbo is not round and will interfere with the TAG-III installation. Some have managed to modify the TT to allow proper installation of the TAG-III, but the short answer is, it does not fit because the TT is smaller inside than the stock hose or the CBH.
