Does anybody have any info on the Torquis Maximus upgrade for the 24v Cummins? I have seen this advertised at the local Cummins Shop, but they didn't have any information on it.

Does anybody have any details on how much of a power increase they give, Where would I be able purchase one, and What they cost?

Hey Kevin, I think it is a small increase for a lot of money, also they will not do it for us auto types. I think there is an add in the TDR magazine and also on Cummins website under the Dodge Ram section

Get your TDR magazine and look for the adv.
If you need part numbers I think I have them, both dodge and cummins part #'s. You order them through parts as a part and does not require and engine numbers. They are cheaper through Dodge as some dealers will sell for $850.

It may be a small increase for the 235hp units that have 480 lbft but for us 215/ 420's it is pretty good. Side benefit is that it ='s the HO rating with factory "stock" fuel and timing curves, has lowered my egt's and is a stouter platform for bigger injectors and boxes if one so chooses boxes, I don't. In my case my vp44 has a higher output than a HO vp44, so injector upgrades might be a little more potent. My power curve comes in at about 1500 where befor it was at 2000, coupled with the DTT goodies I like it.

JNutter..... huh??? I'm confused... .

The ad in my just received TDR magazine says, "Designed for all l998. 5 and newer Dodge Ram Turbo Diesels with manual transmissions".

Is this a new offering for the shifters, and you got the first batch for the auto's?

(As a side note, don't ever bother calling Mopar Performance for any kind of help. These guys are the absolute worst..... they act like you're bothering them)

The PCM controls the ecm for shifting: ie defueling for shift ing and lock up, etc. not the ECM. They do not OFFER it for autos. Why??? because a stock auto is not going to stand up ( spelled warranty ). The same reason they will void warrany for a box.
