Take a non-tamperproof tool and cut a NARROW slot across it using a Dremel tool.

5 point or 6 point torx

Injection pump bolt? mine was a 5 star had to buy it from bluechip

is this strange

is my truck strange or do some come throught with standard 6 point torx head screws on the pump cover. I got the 5 pt bit with my Blue Chip cover but didn't need it on mine. My truck only had 8800 miles on it when I got it and I dont think the origonal owner ever opened the hood.

The screws on the cover were changed sometime in 2001. Some had the 6 point torx and some had the 5 point 'star' tamperproof. No way to tell which had which. Mine had the 'star' and I changed them to the 6 point torx.
