Had a 2000 turbo diesel with a 5 speed. Just purchased new 4" exhaust, intake kit, gauge kit, vulcan fuel line kit, edge comp, skyjacker front springs to level truck, blistien shocks and rims and tires.

What are my comparible year, looks like 1998 to 2000, to look at for my replacement truck? Can anyone help me?????

I was not hurt by the accident, just the insurance process. Fighting with the insurance company to not write it off, 2 days and they still haven't finished the paper work. All the upgrades are sittting in the basement and as far as parts for fixing the truck i'd have a family friend who runs a body shop do that work if i can buy the truckback for a reasonable dollar. Second party looking at truck to give me an estimate of damage today.

Just heard from insurance and they will settle for 18083. salvage cost 3000 and 500 deductable. total repair estimate is 12750 and they didnot look under the hood.

Would you buy back and repair????? I want to but just don't know??

Going down now to open the hood and look around i know the radiator was pushed into the fan but byond that i do not know. Also posted the damage report in the 911 post for more info.

If i look at buyng at the salvage cost i'll let you know wether i'll fix or part it out for funding of a new truck.

I replied on the other post as well. Once a vehicle is totaled beyond 70% of its value, an insurance company has to total vehicle in most states. They cannot choose to repair for you. If there estimate is close to total loss threshold they then decide if a bid supplement to the first estimate is likely. You said they have and estimate of 12000. 00 with no frame work. With shop rates being at close to 50. 00 an hour in most places its no wonder I am usually busy working in a total loss department of an insurance company.

I would not fix it. it may never be right and and car fax will show it was totaled so you will not get a good price when you sell it. i would consider the salvage on it, i think the engine a lone would sell for more than that. if it is ok that is. robert

Damaged to much damage to repair. The engine was hit as well as transfer case, and axle. I'm not going to part out the truck either going to take the cash and get another dodge.

Thanks for the help guys appreciate it.
