... are the stinkin' yellow Mopar Christmas-tree door panel fasteners!! I realize this isn't a highly technical thread with a great deal of practical advice, but I just had to give a hats off to the chemists and engineers that developed the plastic compound for those fasteners!

I installed some aftermarket speakers about a year ago that I wasn't very happy with. Last night I began the process of replacing them (rear doors first) and had nightmare flashbacks from a year ago. I replaced the fasteners with the yellow Mopar ones again and MAN, those things are tough:)

I don't have door rattles, so I guess they work. Anyone else fight with these?

Yep I had to remove both door panels to fix the broken power locks and put the doors back together with 10- #8 stainless sheet metal screws. Its easy now to pull the panels.

Are you using the correct tool for removing them? No not a BASD or a pry bar, but they actually make a tool for removing door panel clips and I personally have never had that much problem with them. But I used to be in the car audio biz so I have had a little practice...

I have the correct tool and it is still a complete pain. I have actually broken my door panel taking them off. I replaced mine with aftermarket ones from an automotive paint supplier. I just consider the mopar clips a one time deal, they are damaged so bad after forcing them out you cant hardy get them back in the hole!
