Every once in a while my tourque converter will unlock partially and the engine will speed up 300 RPM for a few seconds and then return to normal RPM. Seems to happen more frequetly in hilly country although it sometimes happens on the flats too. It does this running empty or loaded. This scares me because my transmission has two rebuilds on it already, the last at 96,000. I am at 103,000 miles now. Am wondering if this is normal for the 94 transmissions. Seems to happen fairly frequently while using cruise control, but has also happened with the cruise off too, although a lot less frequently. I can duplicate the same effect by holding a steady throttle and lightly touching the brake, but it locks up quicker than when it happens under normal driving conditions. Transmission doesn't seem to be slipping as the fluid smells and looks okay. Anyone with similar experiences or a transmission guru's advice is welcome, thanks.
