Mounting Reese rails in 3rd gen truck

Anybody out there making a trip from Maryland or that area to the west. I'm buying a boat there & need it transported to Reno, NV between Jan & Apr. 2005. It's a 21' weighing in at about 3500#'s on a trailer to tow. Could work out for both of us.

Thanks in advance for any interest or suggestions.

Renoram, go to the site yesterdaystractors.com and post an ad on there. Go to the submission part and you can post for free. May find someone that can put the whole thing on a trailer and bring it to you.

mberry- I see in your sig you have a 19' stingray. myst be a ski boat. I'm looking at a 21' cuddy hardtop striper fishing boat. Probably wont work for me.

Okie-Go - thanks for the referal I'll look into that.

It's an open bow runabout. It does everything I have thrown at it well. It's really comfortable to fish from as well.

Renoram my buddy has a 21 Stripper. It is a great fishing boat and trailers quite well. I will be hauling a 29 Stripper to Key West after Christmas and then on to visit the grandbabies.

If you are willing to pay someone to transport it, there are several TDR members who pull trailers for a living. I'm surprised one of them hasn't responded yet. KBalzuiet, OTRPU, and another member who lives in South Texas and posts on the TDR come immediately to mind. There are others as well. Keep your post near the top of the list or PM one of those guys.

HBarlow- thanks for the lead. I will use that as an option.

dezeldog- It sure is a nice boat. I have not finalized the deal yet- let me know if you see one for sale.

mberry- I just sold my 21' openbow- it wont work to go outside the Golden Gate & take waves over the bow.

Thanks all for the help & suggestions

Renoram,

I understand completely. I wouldn't take it out in the bay unless the water was like glass, which doesn't happen often as you already know. I would love to have a 29' Striper to take my Dad fishing in.

I'm loading in Bristol, IN tomorrow. If they have anything to MD I'll take it, need to know quickly your origination city in MD, but not all that important, I can walk accross MD in an hour, LOL. Email me a phone number if you wanna talk.

Steve- I am putting this project off for a couple of months. I will let you know when its going to happen. Just to let you know, I got a quote from a boat mover company. They want $2100 pocomoke city/reno.

If you're serious, let me talk to the wife. I would have to go alone and schedule vacation time but I'm up for it. PM me the details of the boat and exactly where it is. The wife may go too. Her sister lives somewhere in Connecticut, Hartford I think.

Look at that. Could work out to be a roundtrip to make it real worthwhile for Mberry, if the times can line up. Couldnt get any better. Mark- what do you think?

Just came accross NE and most of WY, like to got blowed off the road. Headed for Portland, OR. I can't do it for half, so I'm outta the mix.

Cheers,

Steve J
