Can anyone tell me the towing capacities of the first Gen trucks? Specifically 91. 5-93, 3/4 ton extended cab long box. Auto or stick?

Well, I haven't towed more than 18,000 on a 24' flatbed gooseneck with mine. That puts a 4500lb tongue load on the truck which you cannot do with stock single rear wheels as about 3000lbs puts you at the tire limit. The limit is really based on cooling capacity for transmission (automatics), terrain, and minimum speed you need to maintain. The engine will run at full power forever with no strain.

Per my 1993 Dodge work trucks manual, tow capacities.

D/W 250 5spd, 3. 07/3. 54 GCW 16,000 lbs

D/W 250 5spd, 4. 10 GCW 17,000 lbs

D/W 250 auto, 3. 54/4. 10 GCW 12,000 lbs

D/W 250 auto, 3. 54 w/super duty cooler GCW 14,000 lbs

Sounds good thanks. I think it would be fine for me to tow a 40' tri axle car trailer. Weight is about 14000 lbs max.
