Tow/Haul mode question.

I have a question about the tow/haul mode on my truck. What does it do? (lock out over drive, change shift points?) When do I use it?



I pull a 6500 lb TT and it doesn't even seem to give the truck a workout, so I usually do not use the tow haul mode, is this bad?

I know you should use it if the truck is shifting back alot, but is it necessary to use it if it is not shifting?

I only use mine to keep egts in check when on a huge hill or when in town. I usually tow about 12000, if I were to get in a situation where the truck was shifting a lot I would use it then.
