Does anyone know if the TC locks up when you hit the overdrive off button, I have been using it while in traffic, but It doesn't seem to provide the breaking effect that tow/haul does, so I am wondering if the TC is not locking up, basically I am trying to eliminate as much heat build up in the trans as possible, its has been my understanding that once the TC locks up the heat starts to disipate in the trans. Which is the best mode for stop and go traffic while pulling a trailer??

That nice to know. Now you are saying if you put the transmission in nuetral when stoped this will cool the transmission quicker?

When stopped and in drive the TQ is generating heat in the trans. fluid, in neutral the fluid is still circulating throught the transmission and cooler. bg

Tow/Haul!!

I have always used the OD button in the off position when towing in traffic or anywhere that I was running below the speed that was needed for the trans to shift into OD. I first started this practice with my 1996. I ran it for about 200-K with out any trans problems. So I will continue until I find a better method. Just my humble opinion.
