tow hook removal ?

so, whats the secret to removing the tow hooks in a 03-04 sport. there doesnt seem to be enough room nor the proper size tool. seems the lateral bolts need to be removed from the back and the medial one from the front. i probably just dont have the correct tools as i have called a few accessory stores and none know what to but dont think the bumper has to be removed. needless to say my dealer was no help

I installed the factory tow hooks with a kit from Dodge. The instructions tell you to remove the bumper. I didn't remove it but wished I had by the time I was done.

Drno - When I installed my tow hooks last year I remembered having to use a Torx bit and metric socket to install the supplied bolts. I can't remember though the exact bit size number. I don't know why they didn't use mounting bolts with a regular hex head; the Torx head bolts and the supplied self-locking (tight!) type nuts required mild cursing. I also removed my bumper for the install after marking reference points because I felt it would be easier.

mine came off with just a socket and extension was rather simple i thought maybe they changed them and use different hardware. it may be a little difficult there might be 2 bumper bolts obstructing ur view .
