2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission tow hooks for 2wd

I want to put a tow hook on the front of my 2wd 2500(was kinda surprised to discover that it didn't have any) 'cause I occaisionally need some help pulling my boat out of the water(traction deficit). I went to the dealer and discovered they want $140 for a pair, which struck me as more than a little bit steep. Did they come stock on 4wd? If so, I might be able to source some from a junk yard. If not, any suggestions?

They were not stock. They're rated at something like 5000 pounds each. I had them until I mounted a front receiver for spotting my trailer. You might consider a front receiver and make your front-end pulling capabilities more versatile.

hidden hitch makes a front mounted that ez to install for about 100. 00 which also seems to stiffen up the front end.

You could still check the salvage yards too. There is a bracket that needs to be installed with each hook so be sure to get the whole assembly.

Thanks for the replies guys. All I'm really looking for is a good place to hook on a tow strap when somebody is giving me a little help pulling the boat out of the water and the ramp is wet. Usually I just need a little help. I've been hooking the tow strap to the A-arm, but I'd rather have a good solid place on the frame to hook it to.
