Were tow hooks ever avalible for these trucks I have 98 24 valves and the one Im goina replace the bumper but the other one I wil probably keep the factory bumper . So I would like to add some tow hooks either factory or ?

The factory tow hooks include extra brackets to tie into the frame. I put on a Curt front receiver which has a couple of tow rings and costs about the same as OEM tow hooks.

I did the curt receiver as well on my '01 and loved it. As stated above, tow hooks are available through mopar performance, but if memory serves, they cost a little more than the hitch. Also, my opinion is the hitch is an easier install.

Thanks for the replies does anybody have a picture of the hitch I really like that idea and do you use the same hitch for the front as the back
Thanks shaun

No, it's different than the rear. Curt 31604:

It [mostly] uses the existing bumper mounting bolts. You have to trim the black air dam a little. It comes out just below the license plate.

Can that hitch be installed if you already have the OEM hooks in place? I went with the hooks 5-6 years ago but sure like the thoughts of having a front hitch. Winch mount perhaps?

I installed the Mopar hooks back in 1996. They are super strong. About 10 years ago I wanted to install a winch and had to remove the Mopar hooks and replace them with the Curt front hitch. No way to have both. The hitch has tow rings, but they are not nearly as beefy as the Mopar hooks.

I put the factory Tow Hooks on my 2001.5 when it was fairly new. A couple years ago I bought an old receiver at the junk yard and turned it into a front receiver. I like the back that I tucked it up higher and it comes through the air dam, not under it.
