tow mirror swap

has anyone interchanged the tow mirrors from left to right and right to left? trying to get the hotspots moved.

I posed the question about a year ago, and got a lot of response but no one at that time had done it. In talking with the dealer, the lenses pop off the socket. I have tried but have been afraid of breaking the mirror. I have been waiting for the dealer to start stocking the faces. They cost $55. 00 apiece the last time checked and were special order only. I am going to try it again when I get some time on a hot day.

I'd love to replace the passenger side mirror with one that I can actually use during daily driving.



Is there a replacement?

I looked at doing it, but they aren't quite symetrical. Left stayed on left and right on right.
