Trailer brake question

Is anyone using these dually valve extensions with chrome skins?

Ok, just got done with the first mirror ds, piece of cake!! just got the cipa from geno's, UPS to complete install 25 minutes!! Everything went just as posted in 'TDR forums. Great!! Glad to belong to this site, lots of good info. Got the Tork lok tie downs frame mounted, front ones pretty easy to install, back one pita had to drill into bumper bracket,Buckhorn, but got them on and am ready to mount the camper . Just bought the camper also. Anyone got an opinion (lol) on using the spring loaded turnbuckles, rite now i just have solid ones?? can't wait to get rollin!!!!!!!

i HIGHLY recommend using spring loaded tie downs at least on the front. This allows your camper to buffet slightly and makes for much easier control in windy road conditions and while off road. It's ok to use solid in the rear, that's what I do.

Torklift makes the fastgun springloaded type, an excellent choice. I have happijac springloaded turnbuckles, and they work well just take a while to install. I can put my camper on my truck and be ready to roll in about 30-45 minutes. With the fast guns I bet it would cut that in half, maybe more!

I have the Happijac on my camper. I turn them till they are snug, then I mark the threads on the bolt with a Sharpie and tighten then 1/4". This what I was told to do by the Lance dealer.
